Design Education: Graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York and studied with Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris and Art Appraisal Certification at NYU.
Early Foundation in New York City: Worked with architects as project designer and learned all aspects of real-life high end interior design. Diverse projects, both residential and commercial, were in NYC (Brooklyn Heights to Upper East Side), Westchester and the beautiful 'burbs of New Jersey and Connecticut.
Made Home in Sarasota: As interior designer for a fast-paced development, guided hundreds of homeowners through new home construction selections and interiors, designed award winning model homes and learned to drive a golf cart.
Entrepreneur Leap: Teamed up to create Morrison Hanna Design and later Morrison Design, Inc. Provided full service, custom residential design for 14 wildly fun years, primarily in luxury communities and waterfront properties on Longboat Key, Siesta Key and Bird Key – with the occasional project in New York City.
Joined Forces: Collaborating with my husband, Barron, shifted to mainly commercial interiors for a change of pace. As part of Schimberg Group, our work ranged from re-inventing restaurants and transforming condominium lobbies to an extraordinary residence in Colorado.
Launched P.S. Interior Design Studio. Inspired by the dynamic growth in Sarasota and the area’s new design energy … and my sons learning to drive ... returned to my first design love, residential interiors. Back to Why PS
